Hey, one more thing before you go. It's Michael and Diane and we're back with part two of the 2026 premieres. We have a list of favorite television programs, a bunch of new ones and more that we're going to kind of discuss and review like we did last Sunday. If you missed the first half, part one of the 27th, 2026 television premiere date, it's available on our website before you go, podcast.com and you can go out and check out the, the first was it January and February of like the bazillion that are coming back and some new ones coming on and stuff. We were, you know, kind of excited.
Diane HerstFor and a few of February that we missed last week and going to talk about today.
Michael HerstTalk about today. And we're excited to talk about March through July. And yes, I say July because there's a few things in April, May, June and July, like, you know, little things just to kind of put on your radar just a little bit. And I think it's important. So stay tuned.I'm your host Michael Hurst and I am here with the one person that has watched more premieres, finales, mid season, twist and wait, what just happened Moments with me than anyone else on the planet, My partner in life, my partner in binge watching, the one, the only, my wife, the co host, Diane.
Diane HerstHello. That's a lot to live up to.
Michael HerstOkay, we just, I forgot the little applause thing. See, that's all we needed. Welcome back.We can't wait to delve into the premieres of some of our favorite programs as well as some of the new stuff is coming out. And we have a couple of things we need to talk about in regard to some things that we forgot about the first time around. And one thing I actually got wrong, which I need to correct because, and.
Diane HerstI just agreed with you, I'm just like, oh, okay, great. He's in, he's in that show. Great.
Michael HerstWell, she's usually always right. Usually.
Diane HerstWell, I didn't, I actually didn't. I didn't know anything about the show so I just figured you did.
Michael HerstWell, you know, it, it's. There is a show similar to what we had said, but we'll talk about it here shortly. It's not a Brendan Fraser. The one that we mentioned does not is not Brendan Fraser. The premise of it is still the same thing though. So we brought up a thing about Wonder man and Wonder man actually is about a guy that, that realizes that he's a real life superhero and didn't know it the Individual was not Brendan Frazier, so. My bad.
Diane HerstDo you know who it is then?
Michael HerstOff top of my head, put me on the spot.
Diane HerstWell, I figured you. I figured you looked it up.
Michael HerstIt is. I saw the preview for it, so, you know, that in itself, I think it looks pretty good, but, you know.
Diane HerstYeah, the premise sounds interesting.
Michael HerstYeah, sounds pretty. I mean, what if we all realize we're superheroes and we just had all these superpowers, we didn't know it and.And we almost didn't know it before we could really understand it and start using them.
Diane HerstIf I found out I actually had superpowers this whole time and I didn't find out till I'm 57, I'm going to be really mad. Like, really, really mad.
Michael HerstReally, really, really mad.I'm still waiting to find out if, like, you're a genie that came out of a bottle or something, or maybe a witch that is told that don't use your magic, but I'm giving you permission. Bewitched, you see.
Diane HerstYeah, I know.
Michael HerstYou always stupid guys. Both of those guys. Darren. And then.
Diane HerstOh, Major Healy.
Michael HerstMajor Healy. Well, not just Major Healey, but Major Nelson.
Diane HerstOh, Major Nelson.
Michael HerstMajor Nelson.
Diane HerstOh, where I got it.
Michael HerstYeah. Major Nelson.
Diane HerstOh, Healey's his friend.
Michael HerstYeah. And Captain Healy. It's like you guys, you know, Major Nelson. Nelson obviously added genie.
Diane HerstYeah.
Michael HerstYou didn't use that to your best ability to make life so much nicer and kept saying, no, don't use your magic.
Diane HerstI think I understand that one a little more than I do Bewitched because he was an astronaut and he. If. If her magic was found out, the government would seize her, basically, with.
Michael HerstWith her magic, she could make him forget that they know.
Diane HerstI don't know. I just think that's probably why he didn't want her using magic. I understand that one. But Bewitched, you guys, you. Darren's. You're stupid.
Michael HerstYou stupid. You're just stupid.
Diane HerstLet her use her magic, man.
Michael HerstIt was a great. It was a great series. Great series.
Diane HerstIt was.
Michael HerstSo anyway, we're going to keep this tight again because part two of this 2026 TV premiere list is still massive. Hundreds of shows are still returning favorites, some that we didn't like, some that we probably won't watch. You know, what we're going to talk about is our favorites. So obviously, I'm going to put the list from the Hollywood Reporter, a link to it in the show notes so you can come back and see when yours is on.If we don't talk about it, Some brand new stuff that's coming out is dropping across every platform. So this isn't just network tv. It's also cable tv. A lot of streaming services. I get stuck in the cable TV stuff. Everybody uses streaming now.I mean, well, your parents still use cable, but it's the same principle. You get what they give you and you pay for it, and that's what you get.
Diane HerstSure, except with streaming, you have more than what you can even watch in a lifetime.
Michael HerstNo, that's a fact.
Diane HerstAnd it's really, really hard to make a decision, you know, someone that has, you know, issues deciding things anyway, like.
Michael HerstI don't know, Libras or Capricorns.
Diane HerstNo, Capricorns. We don't have trouble deciding things. We know what we want and we just say, there it is.
Michael HerstOh, I've got to let. Have you seen my list on Netflix and Paramount? Max, Akyo, Max.
Diane HerstI can't even look.
Michael HerstAnd Peacock, and you name it. I mean, I've had huge lists, and.
Diane HerstYou don't remember any of them until you look through and go, oh, yeah, I forgot. I marked that.
Michael HerstOh, yeah.Do you think we should share with everybody that if I would review everything I have saved on Netflix and hbo, Max and Peacock and Paramount, you wouldn't be able to do it and all of them in a lifetime and Prime? No, we'd be doing this every day, probably for the next two years. Every day. It'd be an everyday thing. So. Yeah.
Diane HerstAnd for a lot longer than 30 minutes.
Michael HerstAnd it's not because I don't know what to watch, it's because, well, I want to watch that. I think that would be cool.
Diane HerstThere's not enough time in the day.
Michael HerstNot enough time in the day. There really isn't.I think they should extend the day and then shorten the work week and shorten the work days so that you have more time to watch TV and movies.
Diane HerstThat'd be great. I still say I need to find a job watching TV and movies that pays. That's what I need as my job.
Michael HerstWell, sometimes. I mean, I guess you could call that retirement.
Diane HerstSure. But I want to get paid a lot of money to do it well. And I. I don't know where. I don't know if that job exists.
Michael HerstWe should. We should.
Diane HerstIf it does.
Michael HerstYeah, we should try to find that job because we'd be good at it, man. Unfortunately, we got this sitting on the couch, watching TV stuff down pat.
Diane HerstOh, yeah.
Michael HerstSo, hey, we forgot to tell you about Georgia, Manny's first marriage. We Love that show. Spin off from Sheldon and George and Manny's first marriage is really, really good. The. The cast chemistry is, like, amazing. And, you know, the. The. Everybody that's. That that moved over from there is the only. The only actual people that moved over are Georgie and Mandy and of course, Mandy's mother.
Diane HerstWell.
Michael HerstAnd father.
Diane HerstWell, yeah, but they didn't move over from. Well, I guess they were in. Yeah, they were in the last two episodes of Sheldon.
Michael HerstOf Sheldon.
Diane HerstCorrect.
Michael HerstAnd then now Georgie's mother from Sheldon is in a few episodes. I mean, so is actually Missy. Missy's in there for a few times too, which I think kind of, you know, adds a little bit to it. But never see Shelton. Will Sasso is, like, brilliant in it. And.
Diane HerstYeah, I love Will Sasso. Well, just about anything.
Michael HerstThe whole chemistry. The whole. Again, the whole chemistry of the cast. I mentioned earlier. I think they all. They meld together like they're really family.
Diane HerstYeah.
Michael HerstAnd I really like that because you could.
Diane HerstOh, my gosh. Her brother. Her brother cracks me up.
Michael HerstYes.
Diane HerstI love him. And I love that they have a character that's basically neurod. Neurodivergent. So there's. There's representation there for a lot of people. And he's just so funny.
Michael HerstSo. But that. That returns on February 26th.
Diane HerstYes.
Michael HerstSo I forgot to add. We forgot to add that to the. February 26th. I made the list, so I have to admit to it that it was me. But don't tell my wife.
Diane HerstSure. He knows.
Michael HerstSo the. And ghost. We love ghost ghosts, and we've talked about ghost before. It's the American version of the British version, which they actually kind of crossed them. They did a crossover with them last year. Yeah, last year they kind of did a little bit of a crossover with them for summer tonight.
Diane HerstDid I miss it?
Michael HerstYeah.
Diane HerstOh, how did I miss that?
Michael HerstI don't know, but it is. It is. That in itself also returns February 26th. And, you know, the concept is great. I think the characters are great.Every one of the ghosts are great. We've reviewed it before. We can review it.We'll review it again if, you know, if anybody, you know, wants to hear it again or will be happy to review it again because I think it's. They've already kind of got their groove now, and it works out really well.
Diane HerstYeah. Still feel sorry for Jay, though, the husband who can't see the ghost.
Michael HerstHe can't see the ghost. No, no. And then they're bringing in other characters that now that actually can go Yeah. I see ghost and here I am.
Diane HerstThat's not fair to say.
Michael HerstAnyway.
Diane HerstYeah, just. Just a thing.
Michael HerstAnd then one of our other favorites, which I think it was on Apple. Yes, tell them about it.
Diane HerstOh, Jennifer Garner's. I guess it was a miniseries.
Michael HerstIt's a series. It's a series because it's coming back for a second season.
Diane HerstOkay, Well, I guess that would be a series. The last thing he told me is coming back for season two on February 20th.
Michael HerstIf you haven't seen that is a phenomenal story. It's a phenomenal.
Diane HerstAnd she's amazing. Just like. She's amazing in everything.
Michael HerstYeah, yeah, she's real good.
Diane HerstIt's a really great story. It's from a book, which I haven't read. I don't really read books. I should. But it's from a book, so I'm sure.I guess it follows the book pretty closely. I don't know. From what I've heard in the. When I'm.When I've watched interviews with her in it, she read the book first and then wanted to do the series. So I think this is her company, the Dark. And so anyway, season two of that.
Michael HerstIt'S about a woman and her daughter.
Diane HerstWell, her stepdaughter.
Michael HerstHer stepdaughter. She's married to this guy. It's an absolute perfect environment, perfect marriage, perfect everything. And all of a sudden he kind of just disappears off the planet. Gone. You know, nobody knows where he's at.And then there's a lot more intrigued because the FBI's looking for him and, you know, some bad guys are looking for.
Diane HerstAnd then they come looking for her.
Michael HerstThey come looking for her and the daughter. Yeah.So her and the daughter who hadn't bonded before are now bonding over this, the whole situation, and, you know, trying to find out what happened to the husband slash father. And it is. It is intense. And it's, you know. On the edge of your seat. Yes. Anything. Jennifer Gunner's in, you know, so good.I remember some of the first stuff she was in where she played a bimbo. You know where she was at the. Dude.
Diane HerstWas she in. Dude, where's my car?
Michael HerstShe's. Where's my car? Yeah, she was the girlfriend and dude, where's my car?
Diane HerstBut then Alias.
Michael HerstBut then she hit on Alias.
Diane HerstOh, wow, that was such a good show.
Michael HerstBetween that and Peppermint when she did. Peppermint was good, too. You know. She's a badass.
Diane HerstShe is.
Michael HerstShe's just a badass in real life.
Diane HerstShe's just so down to earth and real.
Michael HerstAnd she's the badass in real life.
Diane HerstShe is. You just want to be her best friend.
Michael HerstYeah.
Diane HerstSo, Jennifer, if you. If you need another friend, another. Two friends, I'm here. No, just me.
Michael HerstNo, no. Two friends. Two. You're learning Italian. Due.
Diane HerstNo.
Michael HerstYes.
Diane HerstNo, no.
Michael HerstFrench. Ami.
Diane HerstAnyway. Okay, we're being silly. Anyway, we gotta get. I just. I just have to preface this. Our mood's kind of.
Michael HerstThe Broncos lost.
Diane HerstYeah. We're not going to the Super Bowl.
Michael HerstWe're not going to Super Bowl.
Diane HerstAnd I'm very, very bummed, but more bummed about what's going on in the country. I just want to say we don't talk about politics on this because we try to keep it light and try to.There's enough stuff out there that we are seeing every day, so we try to keep this light where we don't talk about politics. But I'm gutted by what's happening in Minnesota, and I can't. I. I'm really. I'm really feeling it like everyone else, and I just can't.
Michael HerstAnd me.
Diane HerstAnd I'm real focused.
Michael HerstMe as well. Me as well. And, you know, from. I mean, this audience knows that I'm a retired police sergeant. And, you know, it is. We are a blue family, period. And I can. Excuse me. Absolutely without hesitation tell you that. What ice. Alleged ICE agents. I will say that because none of them are trained in.In any form of law enforcement. You know, they don't know what they're doing. They're just people that were. And there's validation for this that have just been said, okay, we'll give you a job. Here's your money, here's your badge, here's your gun, and go out and do your thing. And there's people who, you know, on there. It has been substantiated. The people on there that don't belong on there, that are felons and misdemeanor crooks and the people who participated in the January 6 thing. So I can tell you without hesitation that that does not represent a law enforcement officer not at.In this country, does not represent the integrity and the honor and the ability to protect and serve for the 99% or 98% of the law enforcement officers that are out there. So, you know, from. From me to you, from my family, to anybody out here listening in this community that does not represent law enforcement. And it's an atrocity that is taking place that just does not need to take a place. These individuals that have committed These crimes need to be accounted for. They need. They need. The victims need justice in this regard. So that's all we'll say? Yep, that's all we'll say. So let's get into March. March 1st. March 1st.
Diane HerstMarch 1.
Michael HerstMarch 1st. Well, the actor Awards, which last year it premiered on Netflix. It was their first live presentation of anything. It was first live, you know, kind.
Diane HerstOf a. I must have missed it.
Michael HerstNo, you watched it. We watched it together. They had all the tables that was outside. They had a big TV screen in the middle behind them, and they had little tables in all these different rooms. And yeah, we watched it together. It's coming back. So it'll be March 1, 5pm the actor awards on Netflix. It is a live show. It'll be their second one.
Diane HerstIs it just for Netflix programming?
Michael HerstNo, it's for all kinds of programming. So they call it the Actor Awards. Okay.
Diane HerstDon't know. I don't know that we needed another award show. And this is going from someone who used to really love award shows. I really used to get into them. And after last year's Oscars and the atrocities that happened with that, I. I'm kind of not really about them anymore.
Michael HerstWell, we'll see. And I think they. This. They made this less political.
Diane HerstWell, it's. Award shows are always going to be political, and it's going to be. Who spends money on. On advertising for their. For their shows and their people and.
Michael HerstWell, we. We. Look, we.
Diane HerstI just can't.
Michael HerstWe went over the list for the Oscars, Oscars that are coming up, and, you know, the ones that got snubbed should not have been snubbed. The ones that got snubbed last year should not have got snubbed last year. The ones that won last year, in our opinion. Now you're talking to two people that have a passion for entertainment. I have a degree in digital media, you know, and it's all forms of it. Performance and art, performance. So from that perspective, as well as just enjoying this, I ran two. We ran two international film festivals and five screenwriting conferences. That's how much we love this industry. And the people that won last year should not have won. And the people that didn't win.
Diane HerstNot in every category.
Michael HerstNot in every category. We're just talking best pictures, certain categories. Picture, director, cinematography.
Diane HerstThere was one movie that kind of overtook everything, and it was shocking.
Michael HerstThat was an aura. We can just say it out loud. A Nora should not have won what they won. They should not have won what they won. Wicked was Pushed out.And they shouldn't have been because the cinematography and the direction and the set design, the set design, the costuming, everything was just like, phenomenal. But anyway, we may or may not watch the Oscars this year. We'll see.
Diane HerstI'm debating.
Michael HerstWe'll miss our annual Oscar stuff. So anyway, then there's a new show coming on called Marshalls, so coming off cbs and, you know, we. It looks interesting. Looks. Looks fine. We, you know, we watch a lot of cop shows, so I'm always hesitant in the first place to kind of keep an eye on them, which we've talked about before. There's a few that I like. There's others. I kind of go, they just don't. I don't want to watch this because they portray cops. Like, like, they don't.Cops the way they really are. I don't portray. This wouldn't happen. That wouldn't happen. They wouldn't do this. They wouldn't do that.
Diane HerstThe guy that stars in Marshalls, though, you. You watched him in something else.
Michael HerstI did. So I'm going to give it a try.
Diane HerstWell, what was it?
Michael HerstI don't know.
Diane HerstOh, okay. Sorry. I thought you knew.
Michael HerstI still have the football game on my brain.
Diane HerstI don't want to.
Michael HerstI don't think so. Yes. I think it's going to be good. That's not the one with. No, CIA is. The one with.
Diane HerstOh, no, CIA is.
Michael HerstYeah, with the.
Diane HerstTom Ellis. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Michael HerstBut yes. So I'm kind of excited about it. It also premieres March 1, as well as Tracker comes back. We talk about it because they come back and we're.We love Tracker and we love Watson. So both of those are coming back. And you know, that in itself, that's going to be Sunday, March 1st. So it'll be a busy Sunday night. March 1st.
Diane HerstBusy Sunday night, you know.
Michael HerstWow. Not too bad. March 2nd. There's a new show coming out March 3rd or March 3rd. Pardon me. RJ Decker. And RJ Decker.Nicole, our daughter who's been on the show with us before, youngest. She has watched the star of this on Grey's Anatomy. So any Grey's Anatomy fans out there, you'll kind of recognize this guy. And you know it. He's.He is a private eye, a P.I. he's got the. What I see in this is a little bit of Magnum PI because he's wearing Hawaiian shirts and he's got, you know, kind of a.Not really just a. Just a mustache, but he's got like. Like me. I don't have a full beard, but he's got something here.
Diane HerstSo I, I see that. Yes, I agree with you.
Michael HerstYeah.
Diane HerstNicole and I also saw. And this is from the trailer. This is all the trailer, the commercial, whatever we saw. She and I get bad monkey vibes or bad monkey.
Michael HerstYeah, yeah. Both of.
Diane HerstI remember you saying Magnum, bad monkey.
Michael HerstYeah. Yeah.
Diane HerstI'm really looking forward to it.
Michael HerstSo it's cross between that and that. So we're, we're going to watch that. That's coming out the March 3rd as well on ABC. 10:00pm Eastern Time.March 4th, young Sherlock, which if any of you watch Young Sherlock on Prime. Um, actually, I think is, it's a profound. I mean, I'm not sure if I fit into the age demographic, but I like a, a variety of shows.
Diane HerstYeah, you don't, you don't watch all of your age. I, I don't type things.
Michael HerstI like entertainment, period entertainment. If it's good, I'll watch it. It doesn't matter what you watch.
Diane HerstStuff that's made for kids.
Michael HerstYeah. Except for Baby Shark, I don't watch that.
Diane HerstI don't think that's a show.
Michael HerstSo it might be. Who knows?
Diane HerstI think it's a shock.
Michael HerstSo anyway, and then Hollywood Squares, it's coming back on CBS with a new time.
Diane HerstOh, it's so good.
Michael HerstYeah. Yeah. We love Hollywood scores. And that's a production. Drew Barrymore's production company brought that back. And Flower Flower Films.
Diane HerstFilms, I think is her company.
Michael HerstYeah. Yeah. So she brought that back. She's the center square. And, you know, the amount of people, I think they've really loosened up this time.
Diane HerstOh, gosh, they're loose. No, they're loose.
Michael HerstYeah.
Diane HerstYeah, they, they get right on the edge of what they can do on network tv.
Michael HerstYeah, it works. And they have a nice variety of, of returning stars as well as new ones that are coming in and popping in. And you always get comedy. You get, you know, bantering. You get a little bit of everything. So that's good. You know, that's pretty cool, too.And then for you, Outlander star, or excuse me, you Outlander fans. Fans. Outlander's coming back. It's the final season March 6th. You can catch up with Outlander on Netflix, believe it or not, right now as well.So if you don't subscribe to Starz, but you do have Netflix, you can watch and catch up to Outlander on there, including Blood of My Blood, which is also. No, that might not be available on Netflix yet. They still might be on Stars but it'll be on Netflix soon as well.So it's coming back March 6th, and I'm kind of excited for it. Her and I started watching it in the beginning together. And then you kind of lost interest in.
Diane HerstI don't know why. I have absolutely no reason why I lost interest. I just did.
Michael HerstWell, it's a unique time travel. I mean.
Diane HerstYeah. I love everything that it is. I typically love. I. There's absolutely no reason why. There's no. It's a great show. It was a great show.I just, for some reason lost interest. I don't know. And now I'm so behind. It would take me too long to catch it.
Michael HerstAnd you're Scottish and I'm Scottish.
Diane HerstI don't know.
Michael HerstYeah, it's all about.
Diane HerstAnd I know my friend Wendy, if she ever watches this and knows that I started it and stopped it, she's never gonna forgive me because that is her show.
Michael HerstWell, and you know, the two main male characters have men and kilts. Men in kilts that I did not enjoy, which is. I think that's also one of Star wars, probably. Yeah, I think those.
Diane HerstI did not enjoy that one, which.
Michael HerstIs kind of fun. So Nikki did when she saw the one run butt naked into the ocean.
Diane HerstWell, I mean, I'm not saying I didn't enjoy that part. That part was good. But. Yeah, there was another. There was. There was something that was going on in several episodes that just turned me off to it, so.
Michael HerstWell, I think a Northie Woorboard would talk about it off air. Drop it off here. Besides. Yeah. Friday, March 6th, Outlander, the final season will be showing up on Starz again. But you can catch up on the first seasons, I think one through six. One through one through six or seven. You can catch up on Netflix.Thursday, March 12th for those of you, we don't watch these, but I know that they're very popular and watching the Nielsen ratings, I kind of.
Diane HerstI know a lot of people that watch them and they're very popular.
Michael HerstSo Virgin river on Netflix and the Secret Lies of Mormon Wives on Hulu. All episodes are. Are available by then. Said all episodes will be available on that date. So you go back and catch up on what you haven't seen. And if you haven't, you can catch up on everything. I guess so be a little bit of everything. But anyway, we can't really say anything about Virgin river or the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives other than the two that showed up on Dancing with the Stars. On Dancing with the Stars. Yeah, that's the only connection we have to Mormon wives. Mormon wives.
Diane HerstI like them both. And they're great dancers.
Michael HerstThey are great dancers. In fact, one of them now has a gig in Chicago on Broadway.
Diane HerstYeah.
Michael HerstSunday, March 15th, are the Oscars. It's 4:00pm Eastern, 7:00pm, 7:00pm Eastern, 4:00pm Pacific. Yeah, that's it. I just think about that for a second. Yeah, yeah, yeah.7:00pm Eastern, 4:00pm Pacific. Oh, yeah. I got a little backwards. I'm still thinking of the damn game.
Diane HerstI stopped thinking of the game.
Michael HerstWell, you weren't sure if we're going to watch the Oscars, but we'll, you know, if it comes up, it'll come up. But hey, if we start seeing the same pattern we did last year. Well, things were getting snubbed. That shouldn't get snubbed.
Diane HerstYeah.
Michael HerstIn crappy, shitty movies. End up on top, then. Yeah.
Diane HerstI have to. Okay, let me just say this. We watched Anora. Okay. I didn't mind the movie. I saw the appeal of the movie. It wasn't a horrible movie, but it was not a best picture movie or.
Michael HerstA Best director or best director or best cinematographer.
Diane HerstAll the best that it won. It was not.
Michael HerstYeah. Or Best Cinematographer.
Diane HerstThat was what. Beyond pissed me off.
Michael HerstYeah, me too.
Diane HerstOh. So I don't know.
Michael HerstOh, Best actor, too.
Diane HerstYeah. Best Actress. Yeah. This. This, this year is gonna be a. We'll see.
Michael HerstWe'll see. I don't know. For those of you that are Bachelorette fans.Sunday, March 22, Bachelorette returns with new people, new roses, new drama, new cutthroat, new who's going to walk away, who's going to get mad, who's going to, you know, spike somebody's wine again.
Diane HerstOne that we stopped watching many, many seasons ago, but it is still very popular. We used to watch it. Ryan and Trista, man. First one, first Bachelorette. They're still. And they're still together. And we loved it.
Michael HerstThey had to go through a little bit of counseling, though.
Diane HerstYeah.
Michael HerstLast year. Last year they did.
Diane HerstWho doesn't?
Michael HerstYeah. Yeah.
Diane HerstThe world is hard. Anyway, so it is very popular. I did watch the first Golden Bachelor. I did watch that one.
Michael HerstYou did watch that.
Diane HerstAnd the Golden Bag in the first Golden Bachelorette. I watched both of those.
Michael HerstAnd I'm not sure. I'm not sure how they're doing right now. I know that they. I know that they came back and did a. Another Golden Bachelor. And the response wasn't very strong because I guess the guy turned out to be very. Some things came out about him in his previous relationships or something.
Diane HerstI don't know. I. If they do another Golden Bachelorette, I think I would definitely watch that. I mean, I'm. I'm close to an age of that. That age.So it's interesting to me. I think it's cool to. To see an older generation be able to find love again. I think that's awesome. So if they do another Golden Bachelorette, I would probably do it.
Michael HerstWell, I mean, I didn't watch the whole thing, all the episodes, but I did watch a good portion of them. And I did have my favorites during the Golden Bachelorette. And I felt that. I felt that even in the Golden Bachelor, the old ambassador.Oh, we knew he.
Diane HerstWe knew he picked the wrong one.
Michael HerstRight off, right off the bat. They got divorced. They got divorced like within three months after.
Diane HerstAfter they got married.
Michael HerstSo they get this huge elaborate wedding on tv. On tv. Then they ended up divorcing anyway, which we could have foretold.
Diane HerstHe should have picked the one that then was the next Golden Bachelorette.
Michael HerstYes. And they would have.
Diane HerstWould have been happy, I think.
Michael HerstI'm sure they would, too. Anyway, so anyway, there's a new show coming out on Prime Video. Called Bait. I want to. I just want to, you know, kind of put that out there.I want to go. I want to watch that. And soon as I. I have no idea what it's about, I will do that. I will.I'll decide whether or not I want to do a thing on it or see if you want to come watch it. It's got some. The premise is a little bit. You may not like the premise. So. Okay. And I watch For All Mankind. That comes on Friday, March 27th.For All Mankind is on Apple TV. I started watching, Just got renewed again. Even though it's coming back. March 27, it was renewed for another season. Past that. It's a brilliant sci fi.
Diane HerstI don't think I've ever heard of it.
Michael HerstYeah, it is.Basically, there's this group of astronauts and survivors that are trying to reestablish themselves in certain areas and they're trying to repopulate all mankind because mankind destroyed itself. So they're trying to kind of rebuild it. And it's interesting. So For All Mankind comes back on April. Excuse me. On Apple that time. And then, hey, we got to talk about this one, because we. We love this one.
Diane HerstDid we do an episode about this?
Michael HerstWe did do an episode about Friends and Neighbors. Yeah. Your Friends and neighbors.
Diane HerstFriends and Neighbors.
Michael HerstWe reviewed this on our show. Friends and Neighbors. And you know, Jon Hamm.
Diane HerstJohn Hamm.
Michael HerstYeah, it's really good. So. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Anything with John Ham, she'd be watching John Hammond. I'd be going, Diane, she's going, stop.
Diane HerstGo away.
Michael HerstNo friends and neighbors. If you haven't watched it, you need to try to catch up with it on Apple tv.It's about a guy that is on top, gets knocked down, finds a way to come back on top, but through a very, very unique way of.
Diane HerstNot a very great way.
Michael HerstNot a great way, but a unique way of. Unique way. So to stay. To stay on top of that luxurious lifestyle that he's used to and his. His family's used to.
Diane HerstYeah.
Michael HerstSo it. It really is. Is kind of fun. It's got a great cast, too, you know, Apple tv. Really?
Diane HerstThey do great with some cast.
Michael HerstGreat with Cat. They do great with their series. Yeah, you know, the stuff that comes out and the stuff they put together and pull together. You know, Ted Lasso, shrinking. So I think it looks like if we ever need counseling, we're going to call up Harrison Ford, Jason Siegel. Right?
Diane HerstYeah.
Michael HerstAnd say, hey, we need counseling.
Diane HerstDon't forget. Is her name Gabby?
Michael HerstOh, yeah, Gabby or Gabby.
Diane HerstI'm sorry, I don't. I don't remember the actress's name. She's phenomenal. Yeah, she's one of the best. I love her so much. I just don't know her name.
Michael HerstI'm sorry. So I would go through counseling with those guys.
Diane HerstYeah.
Michael HerstYeah, that would be good. I think it would be good. So anyway, friends and neighbors, Apple TV on April 3rd. April 3rd. On April 8th, the boys. Not like my boy. It's the boys.Okay, that's kind of.
Diane HerstI didn't want. Nikki watches that.
Michael HerstChicagoish, but not really. Dubois, no less. Dubairs.
Diane HerstDubairs.
Michael HerstSee a football still in my mind.
Diane HerstStop with the football. I'm done.
Michael HerstAnyway, it's on Prime Video. It's going to be the final season. If you haven't watched it in the beginning, you should watch it from the beginning. If you haven't watched it since then. Actually, it's pretty good. It's about a bunch of superheroes that actually are employed by private corporations. And it is, I would say, if you think about, like, even now, money buys what they want, and corporations are now buying what they want. And without going into a political tirade, we find out that money buys a lot of things. So here they bought and paid for, basically superheroes, and they make it a business. So the boys actually is pretty good because what you see is a dynamic from the inside out of their own pitfalls, their own grievances with each other. You see all this? It's just good. You gotta watch it. So the boys prime video Final season, April 8th. Okay, it's good. And then April 10th.Do you guys remember? Do you remember Malcolm in the Middle?
Diane HerstRemember Malcolm in the Middle?
Michael HerstMalcolm in the Middle?
Diane HerstYes, I did.
Michael HerstYeah. Yeah. Malcolm in the Middle was great.
Diane HerstYeah.
Michael HerstAnd in fact, the. The kid, the main kid lives here and has a business here in the Phoenix metro area. And you know, he is just starting to get back into tv.
Diane HerstFrankie Muniz.
Michael HerstYeah, Frankie Muniz in TV and film anyway. But yes.
Diane HerstI'm sorry, is he in this?
Michael HerstHe. I don't know. To be honest with you. This first time when I was doing.
Diane HerstThis list, they said it was a reimagining the show.
Michael HerstYeah. So I don't know. But Malcolm the Middle life's still unfair. It's kind of a continuation. Continuation or what could have been.I think with this with everybody in the cast, you know, and. And Patricia. Patricia Eaton. No, who, who was the mom?
Diane HerstI don't think I've seen her or anything for a long time. I can see her face.
Michael HerstBreaking Bad Guy, though.
Diane HerstYeah. Bryan Cranston was.
Michael HerstBryan Cranston also flies here to Arizona.
Diane HerstThe actress that played the moment was in a lot of things back in the day. I don't think I've seen her anything lately.
Michael HerstIt's. And the daughter, they had a spin off that they were going to do with the daughter and.
Diane HerstNo, no, that was the middle.
Michael HerstOr no, that was the middle, wasn't it? Yeah, yeah. Never mind, never mind. See, I watched too much TV. Just too much. But April 10th. Any. Anybody? Malcolm in the Middle fan.Malcolm in the Middle life. Life still unfairs could be on Hulu. Sunday, April 12th, you euphoria fans. I'll be back on HBO 9pm April 16th. We love this too. This was a great know that was coming back. Coming back. Oh, I wanted to surprise you. You know I went through the list. Beef. Beef is great.
Diane HerstSo good.
Michael HerstYes.
Diane HerstFeels so good.
Michael HerstIf you haven't watched Beef, you need to catch up with Beef on Netflix.
Diane HerstWatch.
Michael HerstActually you want to know something? I haven't seen anything on Netflix about.
Diane HerstThat's why I was so surprised.
Michael HerstUsually they have, you know, have it handy.
Diane HerstAre you sure it's coming back?
Michael HerstYeah. This is Hollywood Reporter Man.
Diane HerstWell, Netflix where What's the wrong with you? Like show us some beef.
Michael HerstWell, word to be old commercial now we're aging ourselves.
Diane HerstOh, yeah. Well, I'm sure everybody knows what that is.
Michael HerstThat's Kevin and back on Netflix. But you got to watch, you got to watch the first.
Diane HerstOh, my gosh.
Michael HerstYou won't understand it if it comes back a star.
Diane HerstIt won't make any sense unless you watch the first season.
Michael HerstHave to do it now. Yep. May 17, the ACM Awards on Prime Video. You know, it's interesting how a lot of these awards now are going to like Prime Video, Netflix, and you know, that kind of stuff. The World cup begins on Fox Sports. And you know, that is going to be June. Yeah. In June. Excuse me, June 11th is going to be the World Cup.And then for you Netflix fans of Sweet Magnolias is coming back.
Diane HerstI honestly thought it had been canceled, so I'm really happy. I wasn't even expecting it.
Michael HerstWell, you know, maybe they decided at the last minute to renew it and they have to go around and collect everybody again. That's why it's not until June.
Diane HerstThat could be. Well, I mean, I can see where they still have some stuff to. Yeah, they still have some stories there. They do. Yay. Yay.
Michael HerstIn the World Cup. You know, I, I, I want to watch the World Cup. I do.But with there's been some political twists that have been thrown into the World cup that I'm not really happy about or appreciative of. And I know that the ticket sales for the World cup have dropped dramatically because of that. And there are people that are trying to get their visas squared away to come here to play. And the government is turning down those visas, which is not on, which is unfair.Unfair to other teams that are, have worked their way to get themselves into the World cup and so forth, and they're denying those visas. So I'm not sure if I'm going to watch it or not watch it. You know, watch it maybe to support the teams that are there.
Diane HerstYeah. Watching it kind of supports the teams.
Michael HerstYeah. But at the same time, boycotting it says, you're doing the wrong thing here. Right. So kind of one of those things, that conundrum.Yeah, it is a conundrum. Yeah. And then we are Elle woods fans.
Diane HerstYes.
Michael HerstLegally Blonde.
Diane HerstYes.
Michael HerstWe know the lady that the, that wrote legally blonde, 10 things I hate about you. I went to screenwriting school with her.
Diane HerstAnd had her out for the screenwriting conference.
Michael HerstHad her off at the screenwriting conference several times. Tell people how to write screenplays. But Elle woods is coming back and a prequel is called Elle going to be on prime video on July 1st.So I had to throw that in there because, I mean, look, it's July. It's July. But I was so excited to say, hey, wait till Caitlin hears, because maybe Caitlin hasn't heard yet.
Diane HerstShe might not. Because she doesn't really watch a lot of TV and stuff. I don't. She was in the industry for a long time.If they had done this prequel 10, 15 years ago, she would have been in the running to bl.
Michael HerstOh, absolutely.
Diane HerstShe looks just like Reese Witherspoon. It's crazy. I don't know how we made somebody looks like Reese Witherspoon.
Michael HerstMe either.
Diane HerstWe did. So, yeah. I wish that it could have been her because she loves Legally Blonde. She would have.
Michael HerstOh, big time. And then we. We also have. What I did a couple of. I did some classes for acting and for. For casting and things like that and how. How to audition. And I brought out two of the stage people that were on Broadway.
Diane HerstOh, yeah?
Michael HerstYeah, they were on Broadway. The Broadway version of Legally Blonde. And they come out and help teach people. He teach them kids how to audition and adults how to audition and, you know, how to fine tune their monologues and audition, things like that. So, you know, we've got a history with that in some form or another. And in fact, one of the guy that came out, he adopted before they shut down the.The. The show. He adopted one of the. I don't remember the little dog. We. Several fans, but we remember the old dog's name.Remember the little Chihuahua dog, Right?
Diane HerstIn the movie.
Michael HerstYeah, in the movie.
Diane HerstHe adopted the dog that was in the movie.
Michael HerstNo, no, he adopted the dog that was in the stage play.
Diane HerstOh. Oh, cool.
Michael HerstOn Broadway. So this just went on stage play somewhere. It was actually on Broadway.
Diane HerstI can't remember the dog's name.
Michael HerstI don't remember the dog's name. Well, it's been a while since we've watched so cute though the show. So. Yeah, it was fun. Cool. So anyway, any last thoughts?
Diane HerstI can't. My brain is between what's happening in Minnesota and losing the game today and not going to the super bowl after all. My brain is mush.
Michael HerstIt's difficult. Yeah, well, all I can say is if you love tv, watch for your favors to come back.I'll make sure there's a link to the Hollywood Reporter article that you can have access to that will give you the whole list of all the premiere dates and the times and the ones that we didn't mention. You might find other ones on there. That are your favorites or that you are embracing or want to embrace that we haven't mentioned.Go ahead and, you know, just follow that link. It'll take you right there. And we are not endorsed by Hollywood reporters. So when I mention Hollywood Reporter, it's just because that's where I obtained my information from. I've been reading a Hollywood Reporter for, I don't know, 30 years, probably more. Enough in subscription fees. We could probably own part of them. From that perspective, I guess you could call me a member.
Diane HerstWe'd love to have you as a sponsor.
Michael HerstYeah. Come here. I'm a member. So anyway, any last thoughts?
Diane HerstNo.
Michael HerstOkie doke.
Diane HerstSorry.
Michael HerstThat's a wrap for today's episode. I hope you found inspiration, motivation, a few new perspectives to take with you. So until next time, I'm Michael Hurst.
