About Ann and John Cinnamon
Ann Craig-Cinnamon and John Cinnamon have been partners in many things over the past 30 years. Partners in life, they married in 1995. Partners in broadcasting, they hosted radio morning shows together during media careers that spanned decades. Ann’s groundbreaking career in radio and television led to her induction into the Indiana Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame in 2019. They have been partners as entrepreneurs, having owned multiple businesses, including as publishers of an Indianapolis-area magazine. Their writing has been featured in regional, national, and international publications. Ann and John currently own a highly successful travel business.
Having a great passion for travel made getting into that industry a natural, and their travels are extensive. Traveling the world together for more than 30 years has been their most interesting and fulfilling partnership, culminating in their travel memoir. Travel is No Vacation: A Love Story highlights the ups and downs of international travel. The book is an unvarnished look at travel with uplifting stories of the people and experiences they’ve encountered. In a warm, conversational, and humorous style, Ann and John show that, while travel isn’t always easy, it’s always rewarding.
They have visited more than 120 countries, all seven continents, and all 50 states. Adventures include gorilla trekking in Rwanda, snorkeling with sea lions in the Galapagos, hiking the Himalayas to see Mt. Everest, and visiting Chernobyl in Ukraine, to name just a few.
Ann and John are also documentary film makers. Their film, Journey on the Trans-Siberian Railway, aired on PBS stations across the United States. You can watch it yourself here: https://youtu.be/YFduON7XuUk
